Medium ruby-red. Vibrant, enticing aromas of black raspberry and rose petal. Rich, pliant and generous, with raspberry, cola and chocolate flavors. The roundest and most voluptuous of this set of 2000s. Finishes with big, rich, sweet tannins and excellent length. A seriously delicious bottle of wine. My sample was a barrel selection made by the Burgundy Wine Company (New York, NY), and thus may be slightly different in character from Shea Vineyard bottles available elsewhere. Also tasted: Carter Vineyard Willamette Valley.
