Medium ruby. Good red-ruby. Vinous, complex aromas of wild dark berries, underbrush and pepper. Intensely flavored, spicy and brisk, with strong acidity accentuating the impression of dusty extract. Shows strong but youthfully tight soil tones of pepper, spice and earth on the back end. "Like a rose that's still closed," Bachelet observes, adding that the more massive 2005 is more expressive today.
