The Wine House is delighted to partner with Dalla Terra (Italian Winery Direct Importer) to present an in-depth look at the Sangiovese grape and its various expressions throughout Italy.

As one of the most important international grape varieties, it is an essential part of knowing and understanding Italian wines and their places of origin. Italian wines can be intimidating, as they are vast in selection, regionally specific, with tremendous diversity! We will examine numerous criteria that influences this grape including historical events, outside influences and appellation breakdowns, while tasting wines specific to the different regions and appellations.

This class will give you the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of this highly regarded variety. The class will be led by Diego Meraviglia, Vice President & Director Of Education of North American Sommelier Association. Diego’s passion, educational technique and experience will give you a whole new perspective on one of the most beloved wine countries and one of, if not the most, important native varieties.
