Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 96 points
In many ways, Turley’s 2010 Petite Syrah Rattlesnake Ridge is the most exotic and beguiling of these wines. Melted road tar, black olives, juniper berries and menthol all jump from the glass. A huge, full-bodied wine, the Rattlesnake Ridge boasts serious complexity and nuance. The tannins are also pretty fierce at this stage, so patience is a must. Still, there is no denying the 2010 is special. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2030.
