Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 92 points
The 2012 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is the standout wine among Brovia's newest releases from 2012. The wine is vibrant and tonic with clear aromas of wild berry, grilled herb, cola and candied licorice. The mouthfeel is silky and long. This vintage is more subtle and low-key than others, but the wine delivers its trademark complexity nonetheless.

The 2012 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is extremely beautiful, open-knit and seductive. In other words pure Rocche. Freshly cut flowers, mint, sweet red berries and bright spices come together in an effortless, lifted Barolo endowed with real class and pedigree. Unusually open at this stage, the 2012 is quite expressive, with striking purity in its fruit and fabulous overall balance. This racy, perfumed Barolo should drink well with minimal cellaring. There is so much to like.
