Product Description

This organically grown bottling hails from the northern Italian region of Friuli and is the perfect summertime red. Delivering bright red currant fruit, rose petal aromas and chalky minerals, this is made of the indigenous grape Cianoros, which tastes like Nebbiolo without the tannins or a richer version of Schiava. This is delicious served with a slight chill.

The vine identified by Emilio Bulfon in Costabeorchia di Pinzano al Tagliamento and that there is known by the synonym of Pinzanàt, has never been intensively cultivated in Friuli.  It is still popular today, especially in the areas surrounding Gemona and Pinzano al Tagliamento. The vine, very vigorous, is characterized by large vine leaves and bunches; once it was used to create the green pergola shading the entrances of the country houses in High Friuli.
