Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 90 points
The 2017 The Integral is made of 62% Syrah and 38% Mourvèdre. Picked just a couple days before the fires, the Mourvèdre was fermented with whole clusters in tank with the destemmed Syrah layered over the top. Deep ruby-purple, it has aromatics of lilac, olive, black pepper and smoked meats with blackcurrant, blue fruit preserves, iron, beef drippings and chocolate. Full-bodied and bold, it's savory, with very firm, chewy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with a touch of warmth. 422 cases produced.
