The Vintage Needle is for accessing an older bottle or if cork quality is of concern. The Vintage Needle is thinner than the Standard needle and is designed for the older vintage bottles in your collection that may have a fragile cork. The thinner needle will be gentler on the cork. This results in a slightly slower pour than the Standard Needle, but patience has its rewards! The Vintage Needle is easily identified by its silver color band at the base of the grip.
