The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs 7 Crus is beautiful, wiry and bursting with pure energy. Lemon, mint, white flowers and crushed rocks jump from the glass in a vibrant, crystalline Champagne endowed with striking purity. The style is all about focus and tension. In other words, this is pure Agrapart. In this release, the 7 Crus is a blend of equal parts 2009 and 2008, two completely different vintages that could not be more opposite and complementary. The 7 Crus is a blend of 70% Grand Cru fruit (from Avize, Oger, Oiry, Cramant and Avenay), and 30% Premier Cru fruit (from Val d?Or, Bergeres les Vertus and Mardeuil). It is a great introduction to the wines of this small, family-run domaine. Dosage was 7 grams per liter. Disgorged December 2012..Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015.

Spiced with licorice snap, pickled ginger and clove, this is firm and focused, with flavors of green apple, white peach and lemon peel. The mineral undercurrent pushes through on the finish. Drink now through 2018. ?AN

Pale gold. Intense, incisive aromas of candied citrus fruits, white flowers, spices and minerals, with gentle smokiness and a hint of anise. Juicy and precise on the palate, offering very good depth to its tangy lemon, orange and green apple flavors. Shows impressive power on the long, zesty finish but carries no excess weight. I really like this Champagne's tension and focus. This year's bottling does not indicate "Blanc de Blancs" but it is 100% chardonnay.
