(cabernet sauvignon with 17% merlot and 15% cab franc) Full bright ruby. Vibrant, pure aromas of cassis, blackberry, mocha, tar, bitter chocolate and violet. Round, rich and sweetly oaky a large-scaled, mouthfilling wine with lovely fresh fruit and nicely restrained sweetness. Still youthfully tight and in need of time to develop more complexity. Finishes with big tongue- and toothdusting tannins.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 90 points
The dense purple-colored 1999 Les Pavots exhibits sweet aromas of cassis, tapenade, cherries, licorice, and subtle wood. It is medium-bodied, with a cool climate textural profile, noticeable tannin, and a Bordeaux-like finish. It will be drinkable between 2004-2015. There are only 2,342 cases. Tel.
