Delightfully complex, elegant, rich and subtle, with a core of ripe, spicy currant, black cherry and plum that's pure and focused, supple and juicy, with an amazing finish that reverberates with flavor. Shows great balance, concentration and persistence. Best from 2010 through 2020. 750 cases made. ?JL

A very strong effort, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts a sweet perfume of blue and black fruits intermixed with hints of toasty oak, graphite, truffles, and forest floor. Full-bodied, rich, and concentrated with remarkably silky tannins for a 2006, it will benefit from 3-4 more years of cellaring, and should keep for 20-25 years. This superb 13-acre hillside vineyard on Pritchard Hill, one of the great sites in Napa, has produced some remarkable wines. I recently had the compellingly perfect 1997, which continues to age at a glacial pace.Tel. (707) 963-0483; Fax (707) 963-0482
