Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: 98 points

“As usual, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Pedregal Vineyard is a fabulous effort. The debut vintage of this cuvee was 2004, which is still quite young (I recently rated it 95). From the Oakville appellation, it is aged in 100% new Taransaud barrels, but sadly, only about 260 cases are made. The 2010 boasts beautiful notes of fruitcake, espresso roast, chocolate and black currants in its complex, full-bodied, concentrated, multi-dimensional personality. There is a huge up-side to this beauty as the tannins have not yet fully resolved. Give it another few years of bottle age and drink it over the following two decades or more. Drink dates 2015 – 2035.” – Robert M. Parker Jr., Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

Vinous: 95+ points

“Bright, youthful medium ruby. Deep, claret-like scents of blackcurrant, tobacco leaf, spices and graphite. Plush and utterly seamless on entry, with terrific vinosity giving definition and lift to the intense, mineral-driven palate. At once utterly edge-free and pungent, this savory, penetrating wine is an essence of Oakville. And the Petit Verdot component is still keeping it under wraps today. Finishes with a powerful spine of tannins and outstanding slow-building length and lift. A distinctly backward 2010 with a long future ahead of it. With its iron-like minerality and impression of medicinal reserve, this wine reminds me very much of a top Médoc wine from the St. Julien/Pauillac neighborhood. Great finesse of grain here, and outstanding inner-mouth floral lift. This seems more youthful than it was on release!” – Stephan Tanzer
