“Crisply concentrated blackberry and cassis are edged by sweet spice and bramble in this wine. It's slim in profile, but finessed and freshly balanced, boasting a granitic core and fine, smooth tannins. It drinks nicely already but will gain depth through 2030.” – Anna Lee C. Iljima,

“All destemmed fruit from the lieux-dits of Chavaroche and Lancement, matured in 20% new oak. This is a little darker in fruit character compared to the other Chambeyron cuvées, but is still perfumed, with vivid loganberry and blackberry notes. Medium-bodied, with good concentration of berry fruits on the palate, and plenty of fine tannins to back it up. Made with a gentle touch and great finesse; don't expect surging power or weight. Drinking Window 2018 – 2023.” – Matt Walls,

“The classic cuvée of the estate, the 2016 Côte Rôtie La Chavarine (100% Syrah) is rounded and supple, with some blue fruits, graphite, black cherry, and peppered meat aromas and flavors. It has good ripeness, medium body, silky tannins, and plenty of upfront charm and elegance. This cuvée comes from a mix of Chavaroche and Lancement, was completely destemmed and spent 20 months in 25% new French oak.” – Jeb Dunnuck
