An extremely sophisticated Lambrusco with a creamy and refined texture and fascinating peach, stone and flan flavors. The mouthfeel is second to none. Served chilled. Drink now.

This vibrant, slightly sparkling wine is one of the best Lambrucos out there. Made entirely from the Sorbara variety, it opens with enticing citrus, woodland berry and wildflower scents. Its crisp, delicious palate doles out strawberry and pink grapefruit notes alongside baking spice accents and racy acidity. The lees that have settled at the bottom of the bottle gives the last glass even more flavor

Dark pink-red with a strong stream of small bubbles. Perfumed aromas and flavors of red cherry, quinine, candied violet and strawberry-rhubarb pie. Finishes long and creamy with good juicy cut. This is still a very young wine and it has noteworthy aging capacity. The Radice in the name means root, and refers to the fact that this wine is the original (or the “ast the root”) as it’s made in the famous Cristo subzone of the Lambusco di Sorbara denomination. It is supposedly where the Lambrusco di Sorbara originated from. Radice is made by secondary fermentation in the bottle and spends a variable amount of time on the lees, as it is not disgorged. Readers need to be aware that Paltrinieri also bottles this same exact wine under the name of Lambrusco di Modena Vino Frizzante Secco Radice, in bottles that have a crown cap (which is not allowed for Lambrusco di Sorbara DOC wines, hence the different name on the label.)
