"The nose of this wine is perfumed with wild strawberries, cherries, crushed dried flowers and streaks of minerals—cool wet stones and damp earth—all gliding onto the palate where a gentle grip of spicy, mineral-smudged tannins are balanced by pristine acidity. Already drinking at its prime, it's not for the cellar, but it is unadulterated and imbued with the heart and soul." - Christina Pickard

"Clove and nutmeg notes mingle with black tea, juniper and black pepper details on a smooth and polished frame, leaning into cherry cobbler flavors on the finish. Drink now. 200 cases made, 100 cases imported." - MW

"The 2016 Earth Smoke Pinot Noir comes from a more sheltered site at a lower elevation than the Angel Flower, and the vines are a little more vigorous and ripen a little later. It has a well-defined bouquet with slightly more red fruit than the Angel Flower, although overall, we are still talking about dark berries, wet forest floor and pressed iris aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, quite saline and almost briny in the mouth, and nicely structured, although, as with the Angel Flower, I would like a little more luminosity on the finish." - Neal Martin
