“Nort-eastern side of Montalcino, a historic and glorious winery, that keeps faithful to its interpretations of classic and juicy Brunello. Nose of blueberry, with touches of eucalyptus, orange peel and rhubarb. The mouthfeel is dense-sapid, crisp, with fruity-citrusy return.

“The 2018 Brunello Di Montalcino is ripe with cherry leather, a bit of umami with dried shitake, and licorice candy. It is medium-framed but has elegant concentration, with wild strawberry, fresh herbs, and lavender. It is a very attractive wine to drink 2024-2036.

“Shining, bright ruby colour with medium density. Open and inviting nose with fine notes of cherries and blood orange, very clear. Upon opening a lot of ripe berry fruit, raspberries and dark cherries. Finely-meshed tannin, light-footed and lively with a salty finish.

“The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino is wonderfully perfumed in the glass, with dusty rose and licorice tones giving way to dried strawberries and hints of worn leather. This is a soft and delicate style of Sangiovese with vivid blackberry and cherry fruits that cascade across a core of saline-minerality. It tannins are crunchy, yet don't get in the way of the 2018s energetic feel as it finishes potent and long with a hind of black currant and cocoa that lingers.
