“This is really refined with black tea, rose petals, orange and blue fruit. It’s medium-bodied with wild-strawberry and forest-floor flavors. Medium-bodied with great vibrancy and beautiful tannins running through the center palate, which is stitched into the wine. Long and true. 100% whole-cluster fermentation. Subtle and energetic. Better after 2025.” – James Suckling

“The 2019 Pinot Noir Sea Field emerges from a single block in Hellenthal, one of the top sites in Fort Ross-Seaview. There is more vibrancy and power here than in the Royal St. Robert, as fruit and tannin vie for attention. Time in the glass brings out more ethereal qualities that are hugely appealing. I would cellar the 2019 for at least a few years. Maturity 2025 – 2039.” – Antonio Galloni,
