"The 2021 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard is notable. Bright and chiseled, the 2021 bristles with tension. Citrus peel, chamomile, white flowers, mint and tangerine oil are some of the notes that grace this exquisite Santa Maria Chardonnay. Partial aging in steel keeps the flavors bright. Drinking window 2023 - 2028. (Winemaker Jill Russell presented a stellar set of new releases this year. I was quite happy to taste a broader selection than in the past, given quality here over the last few vintages. The wines are super-classic Santa Maria – floral and tropical for the Chardonnays and savory/earthy for the Pinots.)" – Antonio Galloni

“Broad aromas of white pear, poached apple and citrus peel draw the nose into this widely popular bottling. There's a yuzu and grapefruit zestiness to the palate, giving an edge to the fleshy pear core.” – Matt Kettmann

"Beautiful orchard fruits, toasted bread, and some sappy flower notes all emerge from the 2021 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard, a medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, elegant wine that has nicely integrated acidity as well as a supple, up-front, delicious style.”

"Remarkably balanced, with details of fresh, crisp apple, citrus and pear that mingle with salted butter pastry and touches of brown sugar on a supple, creamy frame. Reveals a touch of lemongrass on the finish." – MaryAnn Worobiec
