Light gold. Fresh citrus and orchard fruits on the fragrant, floral nose aeration brings up notes of chalk and chamomile, along with a touch of buttered toast. Dry, racy and sharply focused, with very good depth and precision to its sappy Meyer lemon and pear flavors. The floral and chalk notes repeat on the long, mineral-driven finish. Impressively balanced, pure Champagne this would be great with raw oysters or sashimi.

The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru offers up lemon zest, flowers and sweet spices in a taut focused, style. This mid-weight, crisp Champagne shows superb balance in an accessible style for this producer that bridges a nice middle ground in terms of dryness. This is Lot 2603, disgorged March, 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2014.
