Study materials available for pick up from The Wine House (2311 Cotner Ave, Los Angeles) as soon as you receive a confirmation email of your registration. It is advisable to pick up the materials and begin reading the textbook before the first class Saturday, January 25, 2025. There is free parking in the lot above the store as well as across the street.

The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 Award in Wines course is intended as vocational training in product knowledge for those employed in the drinks industry but who have little previous knowledge of the broad range of alcoholic beverages available. The qualification is suitable wherever a good level of product knowledge is required to underpin job skills and competencies. The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines course is also appropriate for those not employed in the drinks industry but who want a serious education in wine, and wish to broaden their knowledge in a structured way. Wine tasting is a part of every class. The WSET recommends that students complete at least 14 hours of personal study outside the classroom hours during their course of study. The 3-week duration of this course allows students ample time to prepare for the exam.

Three days of in-person instruction, tasting of 40 wines, including exam on final class on Saturday, February 8, 2025
Exam fees for in-person exam
Frameable certificate and lapel pin (for students who pass the exam)

CANCELLATIONS: Students may cancel until Tuesday, January 21, 2025. No refunds after course materials are picked up. Individual class or exam dates are not transferable to another course offering or to another person. This class must reach a minimum number of enrollees to proceed.
