Monday Jun 1, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM PDT (in progress)
2311 Cotner Ave Los Angeles, CA 90064

We are thrilled to welcome Roederer Estate Winemaker Arnaud Weyrich who will highlight 6 current releases, including the newly-released flagship 2020 Roederer Estate Brut L'Ermitage. We are huge fans of Roederer Estate wines because they are always so well made and well-priced. Roederer Estate was established in 1982 by Jean-Claude Rouzaud, then President of Champagne Louis Roederer and fifth-generation descendant of the founder. Rouzaud recognized the stunning Anderson Valley estate that he purchased as a site for world-class wine growing, and the estate has been producing benchmark California sparkling wines ever since. The Roederer Estate team uses only meticulously farmed estate-grown fruit coupled with Champagne Louis Roederer's centuries-old tradition of fine winemaking to make a breathtakingly delicious sparkling wine for a fraction of the cost of Champagne from France! Join us and taste 6 delicious Roederer Estate sparkling wines with the winemaker for only $25!

ABOUT ARNAUD WEYRICH

Arnaud Weyrich began his career at Roederer Estate as an intern after he graduated in 1993 from the prestigious Montpellier school, “Ecole Supérieure d’Oenologie” with a Master of Science in Viticulture and Enology.

With a strong background in both viticulture and enology, Arnaud put his education to work during his internship. This experience was the start of a great relationship with Maison Louis Roederer, as he later returned to the company and today holds the title of Winemaker and Vice President of Production.

After completing his internship, Arnaud moved back to France to be with his fiancée. This move also included a position with a large retail company where he managed all quality control issues for the beverages under the company’s private label.

With his passion for the wine industry and an interest in moving back to a smaller company, Arnaud happily returned to Roederer Estate in 2000. As assistant winemaker, he supervised all winemaking operations while respecting the 200-year-old traditional winemaking techniques so important to the house style of Champagne Louis Roederer.

With a strong and diverse background in all winemaking techniques, Arnaud then moved to Reims where he was the Chief Technical Officer in charge of Development for Champagne Louis Roederer for over a year.

When the opportunity arose in 2002, Arnaud moved his family back to Roederer Estate and has since managed the winery in all aspects, from the vineyard to the day-to-day business.

ABOUT ROEDERER ESTATE

Our Family

Jean-Claude Rouzaud, former president of Champagne Louis Roederer, understood that first-rate estate vineyards create exceptional sparkling wines, which is why he selected the 580-acre Anderson Valley property in 1982. Jean-Claude, who has since handed down the family tradition and position to son Frédéric Rouzaud, believed that estate-owned vineyards were essential to ensure the highest quality wine, spending several years exploring California’s diverse regions for ideal growing conditions. The vineyards were planted in 1984, the winery was built in 1986, and the first Roederer Estate MV Brut cuvée was introduced in 1988.

Farmers and Winemakers at Heart

Rooted in viticulture, Roederer Estate is the California outpost of a French family. Family-owned, farmers and winemakers at heart. Since its debut in 1988, it has established its reputation as one of California’s premier sparkling wines remaining true to the excellence and style of its French heritage.

Tradition and Artistry

Relying on age-old traditions and empirical knowledge of our estate vineyards allows winemaker Arnaud Weyrich to craft his best interpretation of Anderson Valley sparkling wines. Far beyond chemistry and science is the artistic element: the tasting and blending of aromas, textures, creating a tactile and aromatic feel of length and balance — measured only by one’s senses.
