Wine AdvocateThe 2009 Nuits St. Georges Clos de la Marechale shows the more virile side of Pinot. Black cherries smoke, tar and licorice all come to life in this intense, broad-shouldered wine. Layers of fruit build to the muscular, virile finish. The wine?s masculine personality is quite a contrast to the seductiveness of Mugnier?s other 2009s. Anticipated maturity: 2019-2029.
