The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Entre Deux Meres isn't quite as overtly rich as the 2008, but has more delineation in its aromas and flavors. Tar, incense, tobacco, smoke and plums are all layered into the vibrant, nuanced finish. With time in the glass, the wine opens up beautifully as the flavors gain depth and richness. The 2009 is a fabulous wine for the money. Lisa Drinkward and Francoise Peschon started this project as a way to have fun making wine with their respective young families. The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from vineyards in Calistoga and Oakville, and typically includes a dollop of Petit Verdot. (AG) Review Date: December 2012
