Description

The 2009 Peter Michael Winery Pinot Noir Le Caprice, hailing from the Sonoma Coast, offers a complex flavor profile characterized by ripe cherry, raspberry, and subtle floral notes, alongside earthy undertones. The region's unique terroir, marked by coastal winds and diverse soils, contributes to the wine's balance and nuanced character, making it a fine example of California Pinot Noir. With age, the wine becomes more integrated and elegant and develops complex earthy, savory notes.

This wine pairs well with a variety of dishes, including roasted chicken, duck, and mushroom risotto.

The 2009 Pinot Noir Le Caprice PMW Estate is a gorgeous wine graced with expressive aromatics, articulate fruit and lovely overall balance. Raspberries, strawberries, freshly cut roses and spices are woven together beautifully in this super-refined, impeccable wine. Striking, sweet floral notes linger in the empty glass. The clones are Calera and a suitcase clone from Vosne-Romanee. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2021. Review Date: February 2012

Well-structured, with a core of pure, ripe plum and blackberry fruit that's fleshy, supple and medium- to full-bodied. This is deeply concentrated and firms up nicely on the finish, where a touch of fresh earth folds in. Drink now through 2017. 510 cases made. ?JL Review Date: July 2011
