The 2010 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Evocelles bursts from the glass with deeply pitched spices and a mineral inflected bouquet that is breathtaking. The Evocelles is endowed with tons of intensity in its fruit and an equal amount of energy. Tar, licorice, game, violets and blueberries wrap around the masculine, virile finish. This is a fabulous wine with plenty of Dugay-Py signature stamped all over it. The Evocelles was made with 60% whole clusters. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030. Review Date: February 2012
