The 2011 Chano Villar comes from a vineyard of that name, 2 hectares on a clay and slate soil slope. It's fermented and aged for nine months in cement vats. Not so deeply colored, the nose has lots of wild berries, some leather and an herbaceous touch. The palate is medium-bodied, supple, and drinkable, with a nice bitter end. 8,000 bottles were produced. Drink 2013-2015. Review Date: August 2013
