A step up in concentration and depth is the 2011 Lombano, from a 0.5-hectare plot on a very steep slope rich in slate. It was fermented in cement vats, and aged for 12 months in French barrels of different sizes, 225, 228 and 300 liters. The color is a nice translucent ruby. The wood is completely integrated into the wine, and the forefront is full of fruits of the forest, with a touch of spices and leather. The palate is supple, with round tannins, gentle extraction, and a subtle acidity that make it very drinkable. 3,000 bottles were filled. Drink 2013-2016. Review Date: August 2013
