2011 Moric Lutzmannsburg Blaufränkisch Alte Reben

The dark cherry-colored 2011 Blaufränkisch Lutzmannsburg Alte Reben opens somewhat reductive, but intense and elegant on the nose, displaying loads of cherry fruit aromas with some dashes of lemon juice. Smooth and silky textured on the palate, this intense and full-bodied wine has a nice finesse and freshness as well as a very good length. Superbly balanced, long and powerful, it has herbal aromas in the long and intensely juicy finish. Impressive and full of energy, intensity and vibrancy. This is full of finesse, although with highly ripe fruit. So silky and fresh. Review Date: June 2016
