The 2010 Chardonnay Mon Plaisir blossoms in the glass with fragrant apricots, peaches and orange peel. A rich, generous wine, the 2010 is beautifully woven together. Once again, the Mon Plaisir is the showiest of the Chardonnays. Sweet floral notes give the finish its attractive texture and lift. Review Date: July 2013
Made from an Old Wente selection that is believed to emanate from the steep hillsides of Corton-Charlemagne, north of Beaune, the 2010 Chardonnay Mon Plaisir (1,080 cases) exhibits copious notes of mangoes, tangerines and pineapples intermixed with a touch of honeysuckle, not as much minerality as La Carriere, but beautiful richness and a full-bodied mouthfeel. Slightly structured and reserved with a lot of upside potential, it should age for 8-10 years. Review Date: December 2013
