2012 Podere Brizio Brunello di Montalcino

Podere Brizio is now under new ownership. Renewed winemaking efforts are very much on display in the 2012 Brunello di Montalcino. This is a clean and elegant expression of Sangiovese that never feels old or tired. In fact, the wine reveals an integrated but consistent level of energy that drives its personality. The mouthfeel is streamlined and compact with a long, silky texture. This wine offers more in terms of length than it does power. Review Date: May 2017
