The 2013 Brunello di Montalcino Molino del Piano shows a robust and brooding personality that does not come easily in a thin and delicate vintage like this. This Brunello opens to a dark appearance with lingering aromas of black cherry and dried blackberry that lift from the bouquet. Three years of aging in large oak casks has helped to develop the firm texture of the wine. Like other expressions made in this vintage, the mouthfeel is mild in intensity and length.
