Black cherries, smoke, plums, spices, new leather and smoke hit the palate as this brooding, intense Pinot shows off its personality. Hints of lavender and violets add nuance on the close. The 2013 was made from fully destemmed fruit. Readers will need to be patient with the 2013, as it needs at least a year or two in barrel.
