2015 Domaine Marcel Deiss Alsace Rouge

The 2015 Alsace (Rouge) opens clear, pure, fresh, fragrant and floral, as well as spicy, on the nose - simply amazing. Bottled with 15 or 20 milligrams of total SO2. Silky-textured, fresh and finessed, this is a lovely, pure and spicy red with fine but grippy tannins and a clear and dry finish. This is a stunning Pinot Noir-type red, which is a great pleasure to drink with food. Sourced from the young vines in the Burlenberg (stony limestone and some volcanic parts).
