2015 Minimus Gruner Veltliner Johan Vineyard Willamette Valley

The 2015 Grüner Veltliner Johan Vineyard has a pale straw color and neutral, oxidative notes of fresh hay, dried apples, poached pears and crushed rocks with hints of salted almonds and dried orange peel. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate, this is a savory/minerally style, with great restraint and quiet intensity, finishing long with lingering black pepper notes. It should improve with 4-7+ years in bottle. Review Date: August 2017
