2016 Alary Cairanne Côtes du Rhône-Villages Vielles Vignes

Even better out of bottle than it was last year out of tank, the 2016 Cairanne Vieilles Vignes (note this cuvée is not labeled Vieilles Vignes in most markets, simply Cairanne) delivers copious amounts of spice, cola and blueberries. A blend of 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 5% each Carignan and Mourvèdre, it's full-bodied, rich and velvety yet remains fresh and long on the finish. Review Date: November 2018
