The 2016 Emmaline-Ann Vineyard is dark and powerful, with more of a distinct sense of whole cluster savoriness and to match its insistent structural feel. Pine, mint, black cherry, citrus, licorice and dried flowers add aromatic intrigue to this dark, beautifully layered Pinot Noir. This is another stellar wine from Ross Cobb. Review Date: May 2019
Earthy and stemmy, this opens in an effusive bouquet of wild strawberry and lavender, with a forest of pine encircling the aromas. Delicately built, with a strong underlying foundation of firm tannin, it buzzes on the palate in white pepper, nutmeg and crisp tangerine. Review Date: June 2019
The 2016 Pinot Noir Emmaline Ann Vineyard is pale ruby in color with a singular nose of tart red cherries, black berries, cranberry and strawberry aromas that open to a wicked line of crushed rock minerality plus notes of smoke, earth and bitter peel. Light to medium-bodied, savory black and red fruits wrapped with layers of smoky spice fill the mouth. It's framed by firm, grainy tannins and juicy acidity to lift the long, layered finish.
