"The 2016 Pinot Nero Case Via is fabulous. In fact, the 2016 may very well be the finest edition of Fontodi's Pinot I have ever tasted. A wine of tremendous aromatic intensity, inner sweetness and delineation, the 2016 Pinot simply has it all. Of course, the highly favorable growing season adds quite a bit of pedigree as well. The Fontodi Pinot is not especially varietal, but it is off the charts beautiful and absolutely compelling. It was fermented in terra cotta and aged in French oak, 50% new.
