"The 2017 Saint-Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard 1er Cru comes from vines planted in 2000. It has a slightly awkward bouquet compared to the Les Frionnes but the palate is fresh and lightly spiced on the entry, good weight in the mouth, maybe needing a little more race to manifest towards the finish but there is that persistent stem ginger note that lingers long after the wine has departed.
