2018 Rivers Marie Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

The Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is quite a powerful wine in 2018. Once again, the Sonoma Coast Pinot overachieves, in 2018 even more so than normal. Black cherry, plum, spice, leather, licorice and menthol add to a real feeling of gravitas. This serious, dense Pinot is just lights-out, and shows how tremendously appealing the vintage is, even among appellation-level wines. (AG) Review Date: April 2020
