2019 Carter Cellars 'La Verdad' Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

In contrast, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras La Verdad is more reserved and backward, with an incredible sense of minerality in its dark fruits, chocolate, tobacco, and Pauillac-like lead pencil aromas and flavors. It's one of the few wines from Las Piedras that has reminded me of a wine from the Dr. Crane Vineyard. Full-bodied on the palate, dense, structured, and lengthy, it's a brilliant wine, but patience will be required. (JD) 97+ Review Date: December 2021
