“The density of ripe fruit is fantastic in this young Brunate with black berry, blueberry, stone and earth character. Very pure. It’s full-bodied yet reserved and focused with a long and intense finish. Very fine tannins. Complex. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink after 2028.” – James Suckling Review Date: June 2023
“The 2019 Barolo Brunate is a powerhouse. Black cherry, plum, spice, lavender, mocha, gravel and scorched earth all build as this virile, potent Barolo struts its stuff. The Brunate is another super-impressive wine in this range. To be perfectly honest, the Brunate has never been one of my favorite wines here, but the 2019 is undeniably great. Perhaps the combination of parcels Vietti has today explains the multi-dimensional vibrancy that comes through. This is simply magnificent. Drinking Window: 2027-2044” – Antonio Galloni Review Date: November 2022
“This wine opens with a wave of aromas that makes you take a seat. Wild cherries, plum, orange peel, clove, violets and rosewood are just a few of the scents that define this beautiful wine. Taut and firm, the palate whelps for a bit more time as the primary fruits are pleasing, the combination of fruit, savory and earth need just a bit more time to shine to their highest. This is a great wine; take your time. Drink 2026–2048.” – Jeff Porter Review Date: April 2024
“Shows a yin, yang effect between the ripe wild cherry, kirsch and raspberry fruit and the notes of eucalyptus, juniper and hay. Reveals a grip of dense, assertive tannins on the finish today, yet there's a lot to like about this seductive red. Delivers excellent refinement and length. Best from 2027 through 2046.” – Bruce Sanderson Review Date: December 2023
“More structured, the 2019 Barolo Brunate has more depth and richness, possibly because the Brunate has a more southwest exposition. It is ripe with strawberry, spice, and pressed flowers and is more monumental in its gripping ripe tannins, with black tea, black raspberry, and turned soil. This can stand up to more substantial fare at the dinner table. Hold it another couple of years and drink 2026-2046.” – Audrey Frick Review Date: May 2023
