2020 Enric Soler Xarel-lo Nun Vinya Dels Taus Penedes

"2020 was a challenging and low-yielding year, and the 2020 Nun Vinya Dels Taus is pure Xarel.lo from an old 0.67-hectare vineyard planted in 1945. It fermented and matured in 300-liter French oak barrels, with less new oak than in other vintages, as there was only one barrel out of six that was new. Soler talked about a very modern wine, and this has 13% alcohol, a pH of 3.21 and 5.8 grams of acidity. It's still young and lively. 2020 saw a short crop that produced 2,220 bottles (less than ever) that were filled in May 2021." - Luis Gutierrez Review Date: September 2022
