Very ripe, yet discreet and so mineral and punchy, almost like smelling a wet rock. Bone-dry and crisp, yet elegant and textured. Really attractive and subtle with a linear, mineral finish. Delicious now, but will hold, too. Review Date: August 2022

"The 2020 Soave Classico Foscarino comes to life in the glass with a beguiling mix of crushed oyster shells, wet slate, dried pears and hints of lemon oil. This is round, verging on opulent in feel, with ripe orchard fruits and a pretty inner sweetness. Saline minerals add a more tactile feel toward the close. The 2020 finishes remarkably fresh yet potent, lingering on nuances of peach, melon and vanilla custard as a sour citrus twang punctuates the wine perfectly.
