2020 Samsara Gamay Shokrian Vineyard Santa Barbara County

Just before Gamay Noir was about to fall into a same-flavor-everywhere trap, winemaker Matt Brady brings a bit more herbal tone to the juicy grape in this bottling. Aromas of thyme, white pepper and pepper decorate the raspberry and cranberry aspects of the nose, while the red currant of the palate is cut by orange-rind and marjoram flavors.
