“A fine-tuned, precise and layered La Mouline with aromas of red berries, warm herbs, dried spices and leather. A hint of fire pit, too. It's medium-bodied with ultra fine tannins. Pleasant harmony here, with a polished structure that drives the fruit and a lift of sweet spices and raw cocoa in the long finish. Drink or hold.” Review Date: April 2025
“Bright notes of spices and perfumed fruit give this a lovely lightness, with winey red currant flavors enrobed in toasty, salty cedar. Stylish tannins carry the long finish, with echoes of smoked sage and oregano. Give this time for all of the elements to further integrate. Syrah and Viognier. Best from 2027 through 2042” – Kristen Bieler Review Date: February 2026
“At this stage, the 2021 Côte-Rôtie La Mouline is the most reduced of the three cuvées, offering up a bouquet of oak, sweet spices, dark berries, fresh licorice and violet. Medium- to full-bodied, concentrated and seamless, it’s layered and refined, with a sweet core of fruit framed by velvety tannins and a deep mid-palate that leads to an ethereal, endless finish. This is a sumptuous rendition. Drink Date: 2029 – 2041” – Yohan Castaing Review Date: November 2025
“Blackberries, red and blue fruits, crushed flowers, and ground pepper all emerge from the La Mouline, which shows incredible elegance and purity, as well as depth. Based on 89% Syrah and 11% Viognier and aged 42 months in new French oak, it delivers medium to full-bodied richness, a layered, silky texture, and beautiful balance. The tannins are polished, and it has a gorgeous finish.” – Jeb Dunnuck Review Date: May 2025
