You can really smell that this was made from beautifully golden grapes, picked late in the fall. Impressive ripeness and concentration for the difficult 2021 vintage, the slatey and spicy complexity building at the long, multilayered finish. Excellent aging potential. Drink or hold.

The 2021 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Alte Reben offers a deep, pure, dense and complex bouquet of rock salt and concentrated Riesling berries. Full-bodied, elegant and refined on the palate, this is an enormously saline, dense and juicy Juffer with a finer tannin grip on the beautifully fresh and grippy finish. The wine is tight but also finessed and stimulating. 12% stated alcohol. Natural cork stopper. Tasted from AP 3922 in December 2022.
