2022 Chateau de Charodon Vosne-Romanee

Charodon was founded in 2010 by Louis Vallet, whose Gevrey-Chambertin-based family has deep roots in Burgundy. Winemaking is hands-off, with indigenous yeast fermentation and long aging in French oak. Louis’ wines are characterized by not only their upfront appeal, but also their ability to evolve and gain complexity.

This Vosne-Romanée is from the western side of Les Communes which has clay-limestone soils. It’s fermented in 500L used barrels. Aged in barrel for 14-15 months (1/3 new, 1/3 one-year-old, 1/3 neutral).
