"Pure Welschriesling from younger vines grown in iron-rich sandy loam and a bit of gravel in the Ratschen vineyard in Deutsch Schutzen. The grapes underwent whole cluster pressing, fermentation and aging on the lees in large foudre for 11 months before resting an additional 9 months in bottle at the estate before release. Minimal Sulphur, native yeast fermentation makes this a contemplative wine with compelling texture and length from a very exciting rising star young winemaker!"-from the importer
