2023 Oxer Bastegieta Manttoni Rioja

"The red 2023 Manttoni is also the second vintage of a wine produced mostly with the grapes from a co-plantation by Bastegieta's house in Laguardia, some 50% Tempranillo with a mixture of Garnacha, Mazuelo, Maturana Tinta and Graciano, complemented with some grapes from Leza and Navaridas. It fermented with some full clusters and indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and matured in 600-liter barrels for 10 months. It has a shy, insinuating and harmonious nose, giving a sensation of calm and harmony, and is polished and elegant, with very fine tannins. It's not terribly complex but pleasant and approachable, with 14% alcohol and a pH of 3.5. It finishes clean and tasty, with a pleasant chalky sensation. 1,800 bottles produced.
