2025 J Mourat Rose Loire Collection

J. Mourat's Collection Rosé is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Cabernet Franc and 20% Gamay from vines that average 20 years of age, grown on soils of schist and rhyolite, silica-rich volcanic rock. All grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel, then aged in tank for 5 months before bottling. In the glass, the wine shimmers a brilliant pink color with salmon highlights. The nose is wonderfully aromatic with an enticing fragrance of fresh-picked red currants, wild raspberries and a delightful spicy, rocky undertone. On the palate, the Mourat rosé really crackles with bright, snappy acidity that provides scintillating energy with an alluring refreshment.
